WASTED

The weekend pictured here was literally amazeballz. All of these pictures sum it up perfectly. I don't have many friends, but the few that I do, I treasure. These girls are a great example. They're the only people I've been surrounding myself with for the past few months or so, along with maybe like two other people, and I love them with all my heart. In these photos: Me speaking to a dude who we met on the beach and got super stoked when I found out he was a graphic designer. We went to go check out this rad block party and there was a great hookah gallery, full of handmade pipes. They were playing Alice in Wonderland -- it was only appropriate. The DJ's laptop was decorated with the most psychedelic sticker, so when I found a guy wearing a shirt with an equally trippy print, you could say I got really happy. Isabel belly danced for all of us + Casey. We hung out at this deserted beach (again) at night and discovered HOTEL CITY (second to last photo) and tried petting dogs in the pitch black. That was a success. Anyways, this outfit is what I wear all the time. I wear these same leggings at least three times a week with different shirts, of course. Just kidding. I wear this same shirt too. HAHAHAHAHA!!!!!11 On a slightly more, still not-that-serious note, I've changed my blog's layout! Whaddya think of the new header? It's a lot more minimal, and a lot less hi-i'm-a-10-year-old-who-luvs-bows like. It translates what I think of this blog now, rather than the obnoxious logo I had before. Let's be real -- that thing had to go. It looked like a 14 year-old had too much time on her hands and decided to take a little stroll on Photoshop..

Satelllliiiiiiiteee

These photos are fairly old.. Mm, not but too old because my hair is still freshly dyed here. Hope you're all having a fantastic weekend! I'm stuck cramming tons of work. Blah. I apologize for sounding as boring as ever, my brain is drained of thinking cells from all the reading and writing I was assigned for my environmental class. Did I just say thinking cells? I tell ya. Have I mentioned I hate high school? It's hilarious most of the time, but I just cannot wait for it to end already. Did/are you enjoy(ing) high school?

I have been fairly pessimistic slash negative slash bad vibe-y in my last few posts. Sorry :-(

Neckbrace

Do you ever wonder how the universe began? How we, as humans, are miniscule little beings breathing air to live a meaningless life to the universe? We're not giving anything back. I'm referring to the universe as a whole. It's like, there's a world, just for us humans, and we judge each other by our accomplishments, but that's only in our little bubble. Does that make sense? It means nothing in the larger, real sense. It's weird to think about it like that. Afraid to flirt with that guy across from you at the beach? Whether or not you embarrass yourself and face rejection or feel flattered by his enthusiasm in you requesting to give him your number, it means nothing. If you two end up having children, it still means nothing. If that child discovered the cure to cancer, it STILL means nothing. Nothing. The universe will continue. This massive, universe that reaches unfathomable sizes will continue to breathe. I would say grow, but I don't know how large the universe is, therefore I would be lying. This blog means nothing. The internet is nothing. It's another useless piece of junk humans got a hold of to occupy their meaningless lives. Business, money, power overall is an awful thing made of nothingness. Jeez. Sorry to be so pessimistic. Whatever. I want some cheese fries.

Stare Into The Sun

This week has been full of DIY projects for myself and Miracle Eye! These shorts, orange floral crown, and the flowers on my shoes are a few of the many things I had been procrastinating to get to. Procrastinating might not be the right word due to the fact that I'm almost never home. But when I am, I take the definition of the word 'lazy' to a whole new level, and that's a good enough of an excuse for me (because I'm always busy with Miracle Eye, friends, or concerts). Life is short, go out all the time, and when you're not out, embrace your inner coach potato-ness (no, don't listen to me), and watch season after season of My Strange Addiction or good ol' True Life for a self-esteem boost (listen to me on this one) OR I Almost Got Away With It to learn what NOT to do when you're trying to smuggle in coke from Venezuela (i'm kind of kidding).

I don't have much to say other than that, and if you didn't read any of this, here's a sentence from the Miracle Eye Facebook page that sums it all up: Happy Friday everyone! Boy am I glad that I don't have a lot of friends, that way I can stay in and decorate shorts tonight instead of getting trashed -- Musings of an anti-social clothing designer (yours truly).

PS I felt really inspired by someone I had already been following through Lookbook, but just recently became slightly obsessed with: Cheryl. Her look is a bit more 'dark' and 'witchy', whereas I put this together with a lot more 'desert' and 'sunset' vibes. Either way, check her out cause she is rad as hell.
