Death Take Your Fiddle

Spiritualized shirt - Coachella // shorts - AA // jacket - ASOS // belt - hand me down // Harley boots - vintage // sunglasses - so old I can't remember // jewelry - vintage

Oh this shirt.. So I went to Coachella for my first time last weekend (weekend one) and have finally fully recovered. I've been a half zombie and unable to get a good night's sleep for the past week (got back home Monday afternoon). Coachella was really amazing and although many people hate it because it's such a *mainstream* music festival and there are so many 'bros' that go, I had a fucking blast. And I ended up meeting some really awesome people. I watched some amazing bands and was front-row for every performance I went to except one, which is very exciting! A few I watched that I can think of off the top of my head: Tame Impala, Dinosaur Jr (I got kicked in my right eye by some 12 year-old idiot crowd surfer during this performance), The Stone Roses, Violent Femmes, Spiritualized, The Make-Up, Blur, Metric, The Yeah Yeah Yeahs, and Modest Mouse.

My favorite performance is split between Spiritualized and The Stone Roses. So fucking good. Jason Pierce was AMAZING and blew my mind and I was crying half of the performance and I just never thought I'd see him in real life because he's never performing around here.. The performance was very spiritual (pun intended) and very surreal. I remember every detail of the performance perfectly and I will never forget it. Stone Roses' performance was UNREAL and Ian still has that voice! He threw out his tambourine and asked me if I wanted it and I nodded and he tossed it to me and some chick next to my friend (who was beside me) snatched it from me! I was in such shock that I was laughing.. What a fucking terrible human she is. Out of pure luck, the drummer later threw out his two drumsticks and I caught one! I was shaking and tearing up from joy because I never in my life thought I'd get to see The Stone Roses live. I didn't end up with Ian's tambourine, but I did catch a drumstick which is enough for me (so is knowing Ian noticed me and wanted me to have the tambourine) :-)))))

Here's a picture of the magical Stone Roses drumstick:

In other non-Coachella related news, over at Miracle Eye we're having a 10% OFF site wide sale! If you follow our Instagram, Twitter, or Facebook, you know that codes rarely come around, so this would be the time to purchase anything you've had your eye on! I've extended it to 48 hours instead of 24 hours, so you have until Monday night instead of Sunday night. Use code FOURTWENTY to get 10% off everything. Crazy times.

Oh and I now have front bangs (a fringe I think is what it's called). Chopped 'em a few days ago when I was really bored. Woooo.
